1. Use a Soft Measuring Tape
Select a soft, flexible cloth or tailor’s measuring tape. Its ability to mold to the natural contours of the head ensures the most accurate measurement.
No tape on hand? A piece of string measured against a ruler will do in a pinch.
2. Position the Tape on the Forehead
Stand before a mirror and place the tape at the center of your forehead, resting it comfortably ½ inch (1.25 cm) above your eyebrows—precisely where your hat will rest.

3. Wrap the Tape Smoothly Around the Head
Guide the tape around your head in a level, even line:
- Keep it ¼ inch (0.6 cm) above the top of your ears
- Ensure it stays parallel to the ground
- Avoid tilting the tape upward or downward
Think of it as tracing the natural path where your hat will sit.

4. Include the Occipital Bone
Continue wrapping until the tape crosses the occipital bone—the subtle bump at the back of your skull. This ensures your measurement accounts for the full, true circumference of your head, resulting in a secure and comfortable fit.
5. Measure in Centimeters for Accuracy
Record your measurement in centimeters, as the smaller increments offer superior precision.Take the measurement two or three times to ensure consistency, then compare your result to our sizing chart.
